Tiny Victories

Standard

Andrew is gone for a few weeks for work, which means this is now the longest I will go without seeing him since we moved in together.

Today, I’m going to talk about my tiny victories that have been accomplished while Andrew has been gone. (PS, he’s been gone since Saturday, so really it hasn’t been that long.)

Yesterday, I braved the muggy weather and mowed the front yard. But only the front lawn, because I was far too hot and sweaty to mow the backyard.

Today, I mowed the backyard. Which required more work, because I had to pick up dog poop, and the abundance of sticks that our three huge oak trees have dropped. I also had to dig out my squash plant out of my garden, because it fell victim to Powdery Mildew. AND I had to cut off half of my cucumber vine because of the same thing.

But the important thing is this: I did it. And I could have just as easily decided to sit on my couch and watch Dawson’s Creek (which is what I’ve been doing in my spare time.)

Here’s to today’s victories. However tiny they might be!
